Ryan McRae is Senior Vice President of Business Development at Hotel Equities, growing Hotel Equities’ various business lines in third party hotel management and hospitality development advisory throughout Canada. Previously Ryan was Area Vice President of Development Marriott International, responsible for Marriott’s lodging development activities in Western Canada.

Prior to joining Marriott, Ryan was Vice President - Acquisitions & Development for SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, in charge of SilverBirch’s Canada-wide hotel development and acquisition activities. Ryan was also a Director of Development with Hilton Worldwide both in North America and internationally in Hilton’s Europe & Africa region where he was actively involved in hotel developments in over 40 countries.

Ryan has over 26 years of experience in the hospitality and commercial real estate industries. Before moving into the hospitality side of real estate, Ryan held progressive business development and asset management roles with Ivanhoe Cambridge - Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. Ryan has an MBA from INSEAD, and a B.Comm in Urban Land Economics from The University of British Columbia.
